澳洲急需人才，今年技术移民配额19万，工作签证将超过10万！ 陆克文政府为了减轻雇主短缺技术人员的压力又增加了2008-2009年度年技术移民配额31000名。这样2008-2009年度永久技术移民配额达到133500名，总计190300名。
参议员爱文斯说临时技术移民计划在2007-2008及2008-2009 可望超过100000。 （注：无配额限制）
457签证在2003-2004年度总共批准39500相比之下 2007-2008 上半年度已批准49700。 “The Rudd Government has moved to ease pressure on employers struggling with the skills shortage by adding an additional 31 000 skilled migrants to the 2008-09 Migration Program.” “Overall, permanent skilled migration will make up 133 500 places in the Migration Program, which totals 190 300 for 2008-09.” “Senator Evans said the temporary skilled migration program is expected to exceed 100 000 places in each of 2007-08 and 2008-09.” “A total of 39 500 subclass 457 visas was granted in 2003-04 compared with 49 700 in just the first half of 2007-08.”
第一，在中国目前的就业形式下，有工作经验的海龟更加显得至关重要，所以毕业后留在海外先发展是规避留学投资风险的上佳良方！
第二，因为移民需求的扩大，对于想在澳洲先工作获得工作经验、或者在澳洲发展事业的留学生来说，可以更加方便的移民，配额扩大了，政府必然会进一步改革哪些专业可以更快移民，从而扩大移民职业的选择。目前澳洲的移民政策非常的宽松，485签证的推出给了广大留学生朋友可以毕业后直接在澳洲工作18月的临时签证。同时基本上任何专业只要英文符合要求均可以移民。
